LAS VEGAS The C2-7200 Dual Channel Video Processor manufactured by TV One Limited is the recipient of the 2005 STAR (Superior Technology Award Recipient) Award given by the editorial staff of TV Technology magazine at the NAB2005 convention.
The STAR Award (Superior Technology Award Recipient) is designed to celebrate and showcase the preeminent technological innovations available to the broadcast industry. A panel of judges consisting of TV Technology editors and columnists reviewed a variety of products, examined the technical applications and their overall contribution to the industry, and then submitted their award nominees.
"Our panel of editors and columnists walked the show floor in search of innovative and ground-breaking new products," said Tom Butts, Editor of TV Technology. "The products we selected made the cut—they demonstrated their ability to help advance the acquisition and dissemination of audio and video in the professional video marketplace."
The C2-7200 provides totally seamless integration of computer, high definition and standard video images – digital or analog. Two completely independent CORIO2 scaling engines deliver virtually unlimited flexibility. Employing true 4:4:4 processing for high definition color rendition and perfect keying (solid or transparent) of any image over any other, there are Multiple Inputs and Outputs available for DVI, RGBHV, HDTV, YUV, YPbPr, Composite and S-Video. Inputs and Outputs for SDI, HD-SDI and IEEE-1394 DV are optionally available.
The Windowing capability of the C2-7200 is unparalleled. Up to two independent windows of any size and position may be placed over a moving or still background signal. Any of the unit's nine inputs (or ten with SDI) may be selected as a source for either window or the background, without limitation. For example, two 4:3 windows may be placed side by side in a 16:9 space. One window could contain a DVI signal, the other window a Composite Video signal, and the background could be a YPbPr HDTV signal, or any other conceivable combination.
